Information Sessions & Technical Assistance

Grantees and anyone interested in Community POWER can access information and assistance through a variety of means.

2010 Information Sessions

Regular information sessions will be held during the year. These meetings are open to grantees and all interested parties. At the meetings, the following information is regularly provided: updates on current grantee projects, resource materials, announcements, and educational mini-workshops on topics of interest. Past topics have included, "How can community groups really contribute to toxicity reduction?," "Junk mail abatement," "Food waste issues," "The SWMCB's Rethink Recycling campaign," etc. Information is presented by Community POWER staff, county waste and toxicity reduction staff, Pollution Control Agency staff, grantees, and other resource people.

Two informational meetings, with opportunities for questions and answers, will take place in February. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of these sessions prior to submitting an Application. You do not need to register for the informational meetings.
