Union Park District Council
The Union Park Composter: A Resident Initiative, will directly engage 100 residents, and provide educational material to over 18,000 to implement composting practices throughout St Paul Planning District 13 (Union Park). Residents will participate in workshops, receive educational materials on composting and food waste reduction, and begin home composting.
In February 2012, Union Park District Council announced the Union Park Composter - a resident initiate, which encourages residents to "take recycling to the next level" by making nutrient-rich dirt with leaves, yard trimmings and certain kitchen scraps, instead of throwing these valuable resources away.
