Oromo Community of Minnesota
Staff prepared materials on waste and toxicity reduction in the Oromo language. Announcements regarding the project were made to 250 people at the Oromo church, Oromo mosque, and other community meetings. Messages were also shared on Oromo radio and Oromo TV. Nine bi-lingual volunteers were trained to facilitate workshops and two large trainings were held, reaching over 100 people. Staff continue to share the materials prepared through the project with Oromo residents of the Twin Cities.
