Twenty-eight residents participated in composting workshops, where they received kitchen food waste containers, backyard composting books, and “Lex Ham Neighbors Compost” yard signs. Information tables at the Garden Tour, Rondo Days (including a visit by the Green Guardian mascot), and the Lex Ham Ice Cream Social offered information on waste reduction, recycling, and composting.  Four National Night Out block parties were visited, where staff talked to over 100 people about waste reduction. Tables at the Annual Meeting and the Spaghetti Dinner provided information on waste reduction.
