Forest Lake Community Eduction, School Age Care Program
The School Age Care program of Forest Lake Community Education educated children and their parents to reduce waste through hands-on activities, family nights, newsletters, school announcements, and community service projects. Education, outreach, and activities reached over 1,000 students and over 21,000 community members that included reducing lunch waste, making lunch bags from old jeans, safely disposing of household hazardous waste, identifying toxins, making and using non-toxic household cleaners, and assisting seniors with junk mail reduction.
