Farm in the City (FITC) engaged and educated hundreds of youth, their families and the general public on non-toxic gardening and composting. These activities included: structured activities in the FITC youth program; outreach activities to families and friends at FITC events (Summer Garden Party and Fall Harvest Party); distribution of printed material at their farmers’ market stand; their Community Supported Agriculture program; and partnering with the St. Paul Neighborhood Network to complete the production of a video/DVD on worm-composting. Unfortunately, as of November 2008, FITC was in the process of dissolving as an organization.
