20 Eritrean youth (age 14 – 20) were trained over several months regarding waste and toxicity reduction issues, especially the proper disposal of CRTs. These youth were asked to share this information with their family and friends, and encourage them to properly dispose of old television and computer monitors. A collection event, held in conjunction with an important Eritrean holiday, was also advertised on the Eritrean radio broadcast. Over 1000 pounds of electronics were recovered through these efforts.
