Much of the paper used in businesses is recyclable.  Be sure to have recycling containers available throughout your workplace.  Many paper products can be mixed together for recycling but be sure to check with your recycling hauler for specific separation instructions.

Paper items that can be recycled in the workplace:

• All white, pastel and colored office papers 
• Mail including envelopes with windows
• Magazines, catalogs and glossy paper
• Newspapers and inserts 
• Phone books 
• Shredded paper
• Cardboard boxes 
• File folders
• Boxboard such as boxes office supplies come in or cereal and cracker boxes

Paper items that cannot be recycled in the workplace:

• Tyvek® envelopes or envelopes lined with bubble wrap
• Pizza boxes or boxes soiled with food 
• Boxes from refrigerated or frozen foods 
• Paper towels, napkins, cups and plates 
• Gift wrap, wrapping paper
