Rethink Recycling Blog - Welcome

Posted April 29th, 2009 by Rethink Recycling

Welcome to Rethink Recycling's new blog! We're starting this blog in an effort to more personally connect with residents in the Twin Cities area on their recycling and waste needs. Our website has some amazing tools and information for residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington counties. We have information on what can and can't be thrown in your trash, what can and can't be recycled, where you can bring special items that you can't or don't want to throw-all organized by your county so it's easy for YOU.

We hope that our blog will add to our value to you-send us comments on this and all our future blogs and let us know how we're doing. Add us to your RSS feed, and tell us if you like what you read, have questions of us, or want us to write about something in particular.

And, as a bit more background on where Rethink Recycling is coming from, here's the About Us we've published on our website:

The Solid Waste Management Coordinating Board (SWMCB) launched its first education outreach campaign in 2003 to help citizens living in the six-county Twin Cities metro area (the counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington) understand the urgent need to make environmentally responsible purchasing and disposal decisions in their daily lives. By giving citizens the information needed to make these decisions, we can reverse the ever-growing waste stream and protect the environmental health of the six-county Twin Cities metro area. The SWMCB was formed in 1990 to increase the efficiency and environmental effectiveness of the region's solid waste management system. The SWMCB is proud to sponsor its current campaign, RethinkRecycling.com.

Enjoy!

Thank you

Thank you for starting an interactive blog! It's great to communicate and share ideas with like-minded people. Maybe we'll even pull in a few converts!

Keep up the good work

Keep up the good work and make sure that the citizens in the Twin Cities metro area are actively thinking about the need to recycle as well as make purchases in an environmentally sustainable manner!
