Here it is!

Here is the FOX 9 video on how to get rid of old electronics and unwanted household items on the cheap--enjoy! - - -

Take stuff to The Recycling Zone

Nice segment on FOX 9! Another great place to take electronics, batteries and other household chemicals from residents - The Recycling Zone! It's was recently remodeled using eco-friendly products. Way to walk the talk! More information - including other materials accepted, location and hours at www.dakotacounty.us, search The Recycling Zone

Proud to be a Minnesotan

How lucky are we to live in a location where it's so easy to get rid of stuff the right way? I've talked to family members in other states who have to wait for a special event to get rid of paint, rechargeable batteries, and other problem items. I really appreciate that my county's collection site is open all year long. Plus it's free - you can't beat that!

Free paint

I went to my county's collection site once because I heard I could get free products there. It's true! I wanted to paint an old bookshelf, but didn't want to spend money on it. The reuse shelf at the collection site had all sorts of different colors. I keep telling other people about this service because I was so impressed.
